What is WIB?
Women in Business is a “no guilt” group of professional women who get together to connect and socialize. We are friends and colleagues who applaud our successes in the professional world but appreciate even more the need to escape from “the real world”.
Do you accept women from all industries?
Yes! Unlike some women’s groups, we do not limit our group to a certain number of women from each industry. We have women from many career fields – banking, law, marketing, biotech, healthcare, design, government and more. WIB is a place to connect with other professional women, not spend the evening handing out business cards. Networking happens naturally among our members, but is not a main focus.
Can I come see what WIB is all about before I join?
Of course! We recognize the importance of making sure our group is what you are looking for before you make a commitment. To join us at one of our programs view our events calendar and register as a guest. We look forward to meeting you at an upcoming event!
I am interested in becoming a member, what do I do?
Visit our membership page and submit an application. Once we receive the application, our membership chair will reach out to you regarding your membership status.
Is there specific criteria to become a member?

My schedule is so crazy, what if I can make some of the events?
We have these 3 events each month; a monthly program, a casual connection and a First Friday Luncheon, to accommodate the crazy schedules of our members. We are a group of professional women who are pulled in a million different directions between our families, jobs, clubs, groups, and charities and appreciate that WIB is a place to escape, not to get a guilt trip. While we would all for our members attend as many events as possible, but we all understand how crazy our schedules can get! Where are events held?
We make an effort to hold events all over San Diego County, but most events are held North of the 8, South of the 56 and West of the 15. Approximately half of our monthly dinner meetings are held in UTC. For more information on where events are held visit our events calendar.
